At the third event of the Fanatec GT World Challenge Australia Alex and Mark Rosser managed to pull off a surprise victory in race 1 after a heart stopping last laps where Alex held off a charge from Ojeda in his Mercedes.

In a weekend where the team was struggling to find front running pace from the Audi R8 they achieved an incredible victory through some great driving by both drivers and excellent pit stop tactics. A great start from Mark launched the car into fourth place and then a couple of safety cars kept the pack together until the driver changes.
Alex was quick to pass slower cars and to pursue the leading Audi R8 which ultimately had a ten second time penalty applied and dropped out of the running for outright victory. Alex’s focus then went to ensuring the fast charging Mercedes behind him was not able to overtake before the finish line.
This is Alex’s first podium on home soil!
