Indianapolis proved to be a milestone in Alex’s career as he stepped on the podium in the US for the first time. As both Carlin and Alex developed their experience in the 2021 championship the first key results started to follow.
Qualifying in race one went well with a fifth position on the grid which then translated into a fifth place during the race.
Some changes were made for qualifying two and Alex was able to qualify the highest yet for the season in fourth place. After a good start it was clear he had strong pace and he moved to third when the driver ahead of him made a mistake and went off track. Alex maintained the pace of the leader and although he finished third he was less than a second from the winner.
It’s clear that Alex and Carlin are gradually building experience and we hope to see even stronger performances in the races to come.
